The Marblehead High field hockey team qualified for the state tournament for the third year in a row and the 27th time in 29 years with a 3-1 win over Peabody at Peabody.Maggie McMullen gave the Magicians (8-2-1) an early lead, but Peabody’s Tawney Palmieri tied things up.Michelle Manley made it 2-1 before the half and Taylor Callahan wrapped up the scoring after the break. Libby Levin (5 saves) picked up the win thanks in part to strong play from midfielders Courtney Colantuno and Kaitlin Taylor.Swampscott 2, Gloucester 0At Gloucester, Mallorie McGrath scored 59 seconds into the game and Kristen Santanello put the game away with two minutes remaining (Steph Lannon assist). Kelly Gillis (10 saves) also came up huge for the Big Blue (2-5-3).Fenwick 4, Everett 1At Everett, Kara Charochak had two goals and an assist for the 6-4 Crusaders. Kara Gray and Nicole Roy also scored and Courtney Nicolo kept Everett at bay with a nice game in net and Maggie Gore played well in the midfield.Saugus 2, Salem 1At Salem, Gia Troisi scored both goals as the Sachems improved to 7-2-4.
