Three construction workers were seriously injured when scaffolding collapsed around 9:20 a.m. Tuesday at a home construction site at 41 Buena Vista St. in Swampscott (above). According to Police Det. Sgt. Tim Cassidy, the laborers fell 20 feet to the ground after a bracket that was attached to an aluminum beam broke off. Two were transported to Mass. General Hospital in Boston, while the third was taken to Salem Hospital. The identities and conditions of the victims were not released Tuesday night. OSHA officials were on the scene shortly after the accident.
