NAHANT – A Nahant driver was arrested Sunday after she allegedly smashed into another vehicle while driving down Pearl Road drunk, according to police.Frances Flynn, 19, of 156 Castle Road, Nahant, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, possession of a class D drug (marijuana), negligent operation of a vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage and underage possession of alcohol.Officers arrived at the crash scene at 2:30 a.m. after receiving “numerous 911 calls” of an erratic driver, according to a police log.Before police could find the driver, the car had crashed into a parked 1993 Acura Integra and the female driver and two or three passengers began running away, according to neighbors who called police.Arriving police units found a smashed-up 1996 Toyota Camry when they arrived and discovered Flynn walking down a nearby street, police said.According to police, Flynn was unable to immediately post bail and was held in custody until about 9 a.m. Sunday.
