SALEM – A Lynn man who had been on the lam for some two years after being caught with heroin is being held at the Middleton Jail on no bail, after pleading innocent.Jonathan Sosa-Olivares, 23, who last lived at 154 Lawton Ave., entered his plea of not guilty Monday afternoon to a charge of trafficking over 14 grams of heroin, a crime that will net him a mandatory five years in state prison, if convicted.As jointly recommended by the prosecutor and defense, Judge David A. Lowy ordered Sosa-Olivares to be held on a no bail status and continued the case to Aug. 11 for a possible bail review and pretrial conference.Assistant District Attorney Marsha H. Slingerland said the crime stems from an incident in Lynn in September 2006.Sosa-Olivares was arrested shortly before 11:20 a.m., on Sept. 19 when police said they observed a drug transaction on Washington Street.Police said they seized a 9-gram cylinder of heroin from his belt along with 13 plus grams of heroin, packaged in 15 bags, from his groin.Sosa-Olivares had been missing for nearly two years. He was recently picked up in Puerto Rico and brought back to Massachusetts to face the charge.
