SALEM – Four suspected gang members charged with shooting at a house in Lynn on Pinkham Street in May in what is suspected retaliation from an earlier incident were indicted Wednesday afternoon by an Essex County grand jury.Vannard Chourb, 18, of 8 Minot St., Richard Pouk, 20, of 15 Barrett St., and Cheanthony Sok, 17, of 66 Walnut St., all of Lynn, along with Phallen Kim, 18, of 483 Beach St., Revere, stand charged with carrying a firearm without a license.They were arrested April 26 after their car crashed fleeing from the scene of a shooting on Pinkham Street.According to reports, it was shortly after 11 p.m., when three police officers from the Gang Unit were conducting a routine traffic stop when they heard gunshots.As two of the officers responded to the area, they observed a vehicle, allegedly driven by Kim and a chase ensued.Kim’s car crashed into another vehicle on Union Street, but no one was seriously injured. Kim quickly jumped out of the vehicle and ran from the scene and was arrested a few minutes later.The other three were arrested following the crash.Authorities say two firearms were found inside the vehicle and another was found on Pinkham Street. Numerous bullet holes were found in front of 16 Pinkham St.Police say the suspects fired 15 gunshots at the home of a suspected “Bloods” gang member.Investigators believe the shots were fired as part of a retaliation from an earlier incident three days before when someone fired shots at Chourb’s home.Sok and Chourb have previous convictions for the offense.The four men remain held at the Middleton Jail on no bail pending their re-arraignment in Superior Court.Assistant District Attorney Michael A. Patten is prosecuting the case for the commonwealth.Also indicted:Michel Ringuette, 40, of 136 Brookline St., #1, Lynn, charged with armed robbery as well as two counts of unarmed robbery in connection with a three-month crime spree involving three holdups in Lynn.It was about 4:45 a.m., on March 25 when he allegedly stole a purse, containing money, a cell phone and keys from a 49-year-old Lynn woman on Boston Street.Then on April 28, he is accused of stealing a wallet from a 22-year-old Lynn man at Chatham Street laundry mat.On April 28 he returned to the same laundry mat and stole another purse from a woman folding clothes.As he fled from the scene, the victim jotted down the license plate number of the car he jumped into and provided it to police.He was arrested on a warrant in June and was reportedly identified as the holdup man by all three victims.Two Peabody residents, James W. Adams, 26, of 7 Newcastle Road and Kevin J. Fuller, 30, of 35 County St., along with Jason S. Murphy, 28, of 24 Pleasant St., Saugus, stand charged with unarmed robbery and stealing and confining or putting in fear in connection with the June 26 bank holdup at the TD Banknorth branch office on Lynnfield Street in Peabody.James Newson, 36, of 16 Parker Ave., Lynn, charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, subsequent offense, stems from his arrest in Lynn on May 1.James Graham, 45, of 19 Cherry St., Swampscott, is charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, his fourth offense.He was arrested in Lynn following an accident on the Lynnway on June 28 when he allegedly slammed into another vehicle head-on after driving down the Lynnway the wrong way.No one was seriously injured as a result of the collision.Graham has prior drunken driving convictions dating back to the 80’s.Assistant District Attorney Michael A. Sheehan is assigned to prosecute the case for the state.
