SALEM – Three Lynn men have been indicted on separate cases involving rape, narcotics and firearm charges by an Essex County grand jury.Junno Oquendo, 27, of 137 Lewis St., stands charged with two counts of rape as well as two counts of indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or older. The charges concern sexual misconduct with a 28-year-old female acquaintance from Lynn at a home on Grant Street in the early morning hours of March 29.Oquendo was arrested that day following an investigation.He faces up to 20 years in state prison on each of the rape charges and up to 10 years in state prison on each of the indecent assault and battery offenses.Assistant District Attorney James B. Gubitose is prosecuting the case for the state.Jeffrey Lopez, 18, of 15 Sidney Ave., charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm in connection with his arrest in Lynn on June 13 at about 12:30 a.m. when police apparently observed him toss a loaded .32 caliber firearm in the area of Kensington Street.Lopez previously was convicted of a serious drug offense in 2007.Assistant District Attorney Greg A. Friedholm is assigned to prosecute the case for the state.James Blood, 25, of 11 Lynnfield St., #1, faces two counts of carrying a firearm without a license, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, carrying a firearm without a license having been previously convicted of three violent crimes and possession with the intent to distribute marijuana.He was arrested in the early morning hours of June 14 in Lynn when police responded to shots being fired near Rantoul Avenue. Blood was apparently seen walking around in the area where two guns were found and he was arrested. A large bag of marijuana was also retrieved by police.Blood has prior convictions for violent crimes dating back to 2001.Assistant District Attorney Michael A. Patten is prosecuting the case.
