SALEM – Six men and a woman have been indicted on separate cases involving narcotics, armed robbery, identity fraud and larceny by an Essex County grand jury.Jonathan Lara, 20, of 7 Howard St., Lynn, and Andrew Lee O’Brien, 20, of 9 Carson St., #3, Dorchester, face charges of armed robbery in connection with the holdup of a couple at Lafayette Park last month.It was just before 1 a.m., when a Salem man and a Marblehead woman left a local establishment and were standing by the woman’s parked car talking when the suspects approached, armed with a gun, and demanded money.The would-be-robbers stole the woman’s pocketbook containing $70 and took $50 from the man and fled in a PT Cruiser.Lynn police immediately sent out a broadcast to the area.Salem Patrolman Robert Lubas spotted the vehicle on Swampscott Road and Highland Avenue and called for backup.They drove down Carrollton Street Extension and police arrested them shortly after 3 a.m.Police said they found a pellet gun in the vehicle.The female victim identified the suspects as the holdup men, police said.Assistant District Attorney Michael A. Patten is prosecuting the case for the commonwealth.Ernesto Serrano, 47, and Eduardo Vazquez, 37, both of 150 Ellington St., Dorchester, charged with distribution of cocaine, and possession with the intent to distribute cocaine within a school zone. The charges concern two hand-to-hand drug sales to an undercover officer in Lynn on Feb. 19 and Feb. 27, within yards of St. Mary’s High School.Nicholas Lopez Rosado, 30, of 12-14 Walnut Place, Revere, faces three counts of distribution of cocaine, subsequent offenses, and two counts of distribution of heroin, subsequent offenses. The charges stem from three drug deals to an undercover officer in Lynn on March 14, March 20 and May 2.Rosado reportedly has prior drug offenses in 2001 out of Roxbury District Court and West Roxbury District Court.Joyce A. Johnson, 40, of 52 Myrtle St., Manchester, N.H., is charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute in connection with a hand-to-hand drug sale to an undercover officer in Lynn on June 19.She was indicted earlier this month on another drug distribution charge stemming from a drug deal in Lynn on June 23.Antonio Zappa, 46, of Gloucester, charged with abuse or neglect of a disabled elderly person, larceny from an elderly person, identity fraud and fraudulent use of credit cards. The charges concern misconduct between Sept. 1, 2005 and Aug. 31, 2007 when he allegedly was the caretaker of a man in Lynn.
