SALEM – A Lynn man accused of helping to rob a 75-year-old roofing contractor in 2007 remains free on $5,000 cash, after pleading innocent in Salem Superior Court Thursday morning.Antoine Stallings, 32, of 77 Green St., pleaded innocent to a charge of unarmed robbery of a person over 60, a crime that carries a potential life sentence.As jointly recommended by the prosecutor and defense, Judge David A. Lowy agreed to set the same bail amount as established earlier in district court and continued the case to Nov. 4 for a pretrial conference.Assistant District Attorney Kim M. Faitella said the charge stems from an incident in Lynn in September 2007.According to reports, the 75-year-old man contracted to do a roofing job on Parker Avenue went to the location on Sept. 26.When he arrived, Stallings, along with another unidentified man emerged, robbed the roofer and fled.The victim later identified Stallings as one of the thieves and he was arrested.
