SALEM – A Superior Court judge continued the high bail of three men accused of robbing a Lynn man of his jewelry and the attempted robbery of another man in July.Jason Tate, 37, of 10 Sheldon St., Lynn, Tyrone Coleman, 30, and Rickie Bates, 33, both of Fall River, pleaded not guilty to armed robbery, armed assault with intent to rob, carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a firearm in the commission of a felony and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.Bates and Tate also pleaded not guilty to being habitual criminals and a second offense of carrying a firearm without a license. Tate and Coleman also denied charges of possession of marijuana and Class E substance in connection with the case.They remain held at the Middleton Jail each on $50,000 cash.Judge David A. Lowy set the high bail, but left the door open for a bail hearing at another court date.Assistant District Attorney Kim M. Faitella said the charges concern an incident in Lynn on July 10 on Commercial Street.It was about 11 p.m., when two men, a 19-year-old and a 23-year-old were on Commercial Street when a brown Taurus stopped and three men jumped out, armed with loaded guns and demanded they turn over their jewelry and money.The 23-year-old turned over his gold chain, bracelet and keys, but the men failed to steal anything from the other man before they fled the scene.The victim got into their vehicle and followed them as they sped away onto Route 107 and called 911.Lynn Police officer Thomas Holland spotted the Taurus and stopped the vehicle.Police said they found marijuana and seroquel on Tate and Coleman.Before being stopped, the officer observed the suspects toss something from the vehicle.
