The St, Mary’s girls soccer team qualified for the state tournament with a shutout 5-0 victory over Catholic Central League foe Austin Prep Saturday in Reading.Amanda Webster led the Spartans with two goals and two assists in the contest. Mike Masse (16:34) was 14th, Brian Keiran (16:39) was 19th, Ben Halpin (16:48) was 24th, Tim Murtagh (17:06) was 40th and John Flanagan (17:38) was 56th.Coach Ray Carey said the team tied for second with Methuen High School and Pinkerton Academy with 107 points, but the Eagles lost a tiebreaker that placed them fourth.
