At one point, the suspects allegedly walked up a driveway and looked into a parked car.One pair of officers came from one end of the street and said they saw the suspects emerge from a driveway. The suspects, later identified by police as Coletto and Rivas, began to walk in the other direction and encountered another pair of officers.Police say the suspects were ordered at gunpoint to put their hands into the air when Rivas allegedly put his hands near his waist.Upon searching the suspects, police said a loaded Remmington Wingmaster Model 870 shotgun was recovered from Rivas’ waistband. Officers say a 6-inch metal ratchet and loose bullets were found in Coletto’s pants. When officers demanded Rivas to show his license to carry a firearm he allegedly said, “(Expletive) you (racial slur), you put that (expletive) in there. You set me up,” according to a police report. As police interviewed neighbors after placing the suspects in custody, one resident reminded officers that three people, not two, were seen looking through cars.It didn’t take long for police to find the third suspect, identified as Mendez, hiding inside a nearby parked car, police said.Lynn District Court Judge Albert Conlon ordered Coelho held on $3,000 cash bail, Rivas on $1,500 bail and Mendez on $1,000 bail at their arraignment Monday, according to court records.
