SAUGUS ? Normally when you visit a comedy club for a show you get a couple of comedians and a headliner. This weekend at Giggles patrons will be entertained by a pair of headliners when Paul Gilligan and Robbie Printz invade Saugus. There are three shows, one Friday night (8:30, $17) and two on Saturday night (7:15 and 9:30, $20 each).Gilligan, who uses the Boston rapid-fire approach to comedy, says the crowd at Giggles will definitely relate to his act.”Hey, I am living the ‘Average Joe’ life like so many other people and I am able to tell stories about everyday people with a twist,” Gilligan said. “We are all in the same boat together with the economy, owning a home, paying taxes and having kids. I work during the day so I will have a cup of coffee on my way to Giggles, talk about real life and make everyone laugh.”Gilligan said he was looking forward to the three shows this weekend with Printz, who he called one of the best in the business, saying Printz was a clean, clever comic.”All I can say is that people can expect to laugh at any of the shows this weekend,” Printz said. “My comedy is observational and I will discuss things that frustrate me like standing in line at the airport, or looking at the differences between children growing up now as supposed to years ago.”Printz, who has been on Comedy Central, won the Boston Comedy Festival in 2002 and was named Boston’s best comic in 2003 by Improper Bostonian, says he plays Giggles three or four times a year and loves the club.”Giggles is a great club with a great atmosphere,” Printz said. “Even though it is a pretty good sized club it has an intimate feel because nobody is ever that far away from the stage. I always have a good time at Giggles.”
