SALEM – A Marblehead resident and a New Hampshire man who allegedly stole approximately $4,000 during a drug deal involving a Federal Bureau of Investigation sting have been indicted by an Essex County grand jury.Nicholas Occhiuto, 26, no address available at this time, of Marblehead, and Joshua Demos, 25, of 87 Collins St., Seabrook, N.H., stand charged each with larceny of property over $250 as well as misleading federal agents or police officers in a criminal investigation.The charges arise out of an incident in Lynn when the suspects allegedly ripped off approximately $4,000 from a confidential federal informant who was supplied the money to buy drugs from local drug dealers.They were arrested last week during a local sting by authorities.Assistant District Attorney A.J. Camelio is assigned to prosecute the case for the commonwealth.Indictments are not an indication of guilt: rather it is a legal process than allows a case to be transferred from District Court to Superior Court, allowing for a more severe punishment, if convicted.
