SALEM – A Swampscott man charged with raping a 14-year-old girl multiple times during a six-month span and providing booze to a minor was indicted late Wednesday afternoon by an Essex County grand jury.Robert Kincaid, 38, of 55 Berkshire St., is charged with two counts of rape of a child as well as a single count of furnishing alcoholic beverages to a minor.The allegations pertain to incidents in Swampscott on diverse dates from November of 2009 through April of 2010.According to reports, the 14-year-old victim went to police in April with her parents and told police that Kincaid would provide her with vodka and then have sex with her and that there were multiple incidents of this behavior.The underage girl told authorities the incidents happened at Kincaid’s home, where she often went over for sleepovers with a girl who apparently lived there also.There also are allegations of supplying vodka to a 10-year-old boy, who is now 13-years old, and twice sexually assaulting a second girl, but Kincaid hasn’t been charged, according to reports.Kincaid is expected to be arraigned in Salem Superior Court within a few weeks.In the meantime, he remains free on $2,500 cash bail.Kincaid faces a potential life sentence in state prison if convicted on each of the child rape charges.Assistant District Attorney Michael Sheehan is assigned to prosecute the case.
