SALEM – A Lynn man caught twice last fall peddling narcotics will have to come up with $50,000 cash bail in order to get out of the Middleton Jail pending trial.Euristene Ferraras, 26, of 102 Williams Ave., Lynn, #3, appeared Wednesday morning in Salem Superior Court answering innocent to trafficking over 14 grams of cocaine and trafficking over 28 grams of heroin before Judge John T. Lu.The judge agreed to set the same bail amount as previously established in Lynn District Court, at the joint recommendation of Assistant District Attorney A.J. Camelio and court-appointed defense lawyer Randi Potash.The defense, however, may seek a bail review hearing at another court date.The two charges stem from incidents in Lynn last fall.On Sept. 29, Ferraras allegedly was observed by police supplying over 14 grams of cocaine to another drug dealer in the area of Hamilton Street.Then, on Oct. 5, police said they observed him in the same area supplying over 28 grams of heroin to a known drug dealer.Ferraras was not arrested at the scene.He was eventually picked up on a warrant during a drug sweep in Lynn in October.If convicted on both charges, Ferraras faces a minimum mandatory punishment of 10 years behind bars, with no chance of early parole.His next scheduled court date is Sept. 1 for a pretrial conference.Ferraras was deemed indigent, meaning he does not have enough funds to pay for his legal representation, but he must pay $150 towards the legal representation.
