SALEM – Bail for a Swampscott man accused of providing a 14-year-old girl with booze and raping her multiple times during a six-month span remains at $2,500 cash.Robert Kincaid, 38, of 55 Berkshire St., appeared Tuesday morning in Salem Superior Court pleading innocent to two counts of rape of a child as well as a single count of providing alcoholic beverages to a minor.Judge John T. Lu agreed to set the bail at $2,500 cash with the stipulations he report weekly to probation and have no contact with his accuser pending the outcome of the case. In the meantime, Kincaid will remain free on bail.The incidents took place from November 2009 through April 2010.The 14-year-old victim told police in April that Kincaid would provide her with vodka and then have sex with her and that there apparently were multiple episodes of the sexual misconduct.She told police the incidents occurred at Kincaid’s home, where she often went over for sleepovers with a girlfriend who had been living at his home.Kincaid faces a potential life sentence on each of the rape of a child charges.His case was continued to Oct. 7 for a pretrial conference.Assistant District Attorney Michael Sheehan said the investigation is still ongoing.
