SALEM – A Lynn man who admitted he burglarized two vehicles in the fall of 2009, stealing a GPS tracking device, car radio and other items to support his drug addiction, will serve two years in state prison before being placed on probation.Carlos Todd, 40, of 52 Fayette St., #2, changed his innocent plea to guilty Wednesday afternoon in Salem Superior Court to two counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle in the night time with intent to commit a felony, as well as single counts of receiving stolen property over $250 and possession of burglarious tools.Judge John T. Lu sentenced him to serve two years in state prison, followed by another four years of probation at which time he must remain drug free and submit to random drug tests.Assistant District Attorney Jessica M. Strasnick said the charges arise out of incidents in Lynn last October.
