SALEM – Bail for a Lynn man who allegedly went on a week-long crime spree robbing and driving a stolen car remains at $100,000 cash, following his arraignment in Salem Superior Court.Daniel McTigue, 34, of 3 Light St., #10, Lynn, entered his plea of innocent Thursday to charges of unarmed robbery, two counts of attempted robbery and a fourth charge of receiving a stolen motor vehicle before Judge John T. Lu.The judge ordered the high cash bail at the joint request of the prosecutor and defense, but left the door open for a bail review hearing at another court date.In the meantime, McTigue remains held in lieu of bail at the Middleton Jail.The charges arise out of three incidents that began on July 23.According to reports, a man wearing a black T-shirt, plaid shorts, white sneakers and sunglasses walked into the Dunkin’ Donuts at 35 Lincoln Ave. in Saugus at around 9 p.m. and demanded money. He fled the scene on foot with approximately $140 toward Winter Street.A week later, on July 31, police believe McTigue stole an Infinity from Suffolk County and drove to Lynn where he attempted to rob two Lynn establishments: Super 99 Fish Market, located at 873 Western Ave., and the Chopstick Restaurant, 855 Western Ave. Police quickly responded and captured McTigue as he was fleeing from the restaurant empty handed.Lynn Police Officer Michael E. Eddows is credited with his arrest.McTigue is scheduled to be back in Court on Nov. 3 for a pretrial conference.
