LYNN – Police are searching for suspects involved in two weekend robberies that resulted in one person stabbed and another threatened with a knife.According to Lt. Dave Brown, police responded to Arlington Street on Sunday around 3:30 p.m., on a report of a robbery. The 22-year-old male victim said while he was walking on Barrett Street he was approached by an Asian male who allegedly showed a knife and robbed him of his wallet and cash.During the scuffle, the victim said he began to struggle with the suspect and was stabbed in the leg. As the suspect ran away, the victim managed to make his way to Arlington Street and was later transported by ambulance to Union Hospital. His injuries were considered to be non-life threatening.On Saturday at approximately 6:30 p.m., Brown said police responded to the Essex Convenience Store at 99 Essex St., on a report of a robbery. The clerk at the store said he was robbed by a black male who brandished a knife. The thief was said to have emptied the cash register and fled the area on foot. No further information was made available on either case and no arrests have been made.Brown said both incidents are being reviewed by the department?s Criminal Investigation Division.Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 781-595-2000.
