Gary Lord.Police got the call about the pipe bomb at about 8:30 a.m.?We called the State Police on a situation dealing with the device,” Lord said. “The device was found on a sidewalk and rendered safe.”Around midnight, police say a woman found two propane tanks with duct tape and red and white wires attached to it, along with a small pipe and moved it near the street. Another neighbor found it in the morning and contacted police.As a result, several roads were shut down and police called in the bomb squad, who used a robot to examine the device before it was detonated. The incident remains under investigation. It is not known who put the device on the street, nor if the device contained explosive materials.Anyone with information is asked to contact the police at 781-595-1111.
