SALEM – A Lynn man who allegedly robbed a local bakery at gunpoint, stealing about $500, has been indicted by an Essex County grand jury.The suspect was allegedly caught after the victim recognized him from high school and then checked her yearbookCharles Collins-Robinson, 18, of 900 Western Ave., #3, Lynn, faces a charge of armed robbery, a crime that could net him a potential life sentence in state prison.The charge arises out of an incident in Lynn on Aug. 28 when the suspect walked into Lolly’s Bakery, located at 16 Cottage St., and told the clerk he was armed and demanded cash, although no weapon was actually shown.The very frightened 18-year-old baker clerk gave him about $500 and the suspect fled from the scene on foot.The alert female bakery clerk thought she recognized him, went home and looked him up in her yearbook and then provided the identification of the alleged suspect to police, according to reports.Collins-Robinson was arrested on a warrant about 10 days later following an investigation.The indictment handed up by a grand jury on Friday now moves the case from Lynn District Court, where he has pleaded innocent, to Salem Superior Court where Collins-Robinson will be re-arraigned within a few weeks.In the meantime, he remains free pending the outcome of his case.Assistant District Attorney Michael Patten is assigned to prosecute the case.
