PEABODY – A missing 13-year-old boy was located in Topsfield Sunday night after he was reported missing from his Peabody home for more than six hours.Harold Libbey, a blond haired, blue-eyed boy, was last seen on Lynch Street around 11 a.m., and was reported as a runaway.Peabody Police Patrol and Detective divisions conducted a thorough search throughout the day and a command post was established, where the Northeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council (NEMLEC) search team and Massachusetts State Police Air Wing assisted with the search.Around 6 p.m., police say Libbey called his uncle to tell him that he was in Topsfield and he was brought back to the station shortly after.Police say Libbey left his home on his own and appears to have walked to Topsfield. A Good Samaritan in Topsfield spotted the child walking by his home and asked him where he was going and if he was OK. After talking to him, the man was able to get a phone number from him and contacted the boys relative and police.?We are pleased to report that the missing child was located in Topsfield and reunited with his family and appears to be OK,” said Lt. Scott Richards.The Peabody Police thanked agencies and the public that assisted with the search, along with the Good Samaritan.
