LYNN – A Lynn woman and her cousin battled it out over money using a screwdriver and a knife on Shepard Street Friday.Kristen Sentner, 28, of 21 Shepard St., #4, was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, knife, domestic assault and battery and larceny over $250. She was arraigned Monday at Lynn District Court by Judge Albert Conlon and was released on personal recognizance under the condition that she not abuse the victim. A pre-trial hearing has been scheduled for Dec. 9.According to a police report, a 29-year-old Lynn woman said she was confronted by Sentner, her cousin, over money that she allegedly owed her. She said she was sitting in the rear seat of a vehicle on Shepard Street, when Sentner allegedly walked up to the vehicle and started to punch her through an open window.The victim said she got out of the vehicle and continued to fight with Sentner until she saw that Sentner was allegedly holding a knife with a red handle, saying she was going to kill her. During the scuffle, the victim said her white Blackberry cellular phone fell on the ground and that Sentner picked it up and ran down Warren Street with it. Immediately after that happened, police say they received a phone call from Sentner, who claimed she had been assaulted.Police found Sentner holding the cellular phone in question and took her into custody. While speaking with the victim, police say they noticed small cuts on her face and neck, which she declined medical assistance for.During booking, police say Sentner claimed that the victim had come to her home “looking to borrow money” and that once the two were outside, she was attacked and pulled to the ground. She went on to say that as she was being attacked, she felt a sharp object against her back and saw a black and white screwdriver fall to the ground.At that point, Sentner said she grabbed the cellular phone when it fell and ran away to call for help. Police later found the screwdriver where Sentner described and are in the process of seeking a warrant through Lynn District Court against the victim for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and domestic assault and battery.Police say red marks were found on Sentner’s back along with small cuts on her face, which she declined medical assistance for.
