REVERE – A Suffolk Downs employee was allegedly beaten with a feed bucket by an angry co-worker in the stable area Monday morning.Around 6 a.m., Revere police were notified by the race track’s security office on a report of a fight, where security officers say they found a man being assaulted by another, according to police.After both were separated, the victim said he had just arrived to work at the 275 Lee Burbank Highway track, when the suspect allegedly came out of the stable in an aggressive manner and attacked him.He went on to say the attack was unprovoked and that during the fight, the suspect grabbed a feed bucket and struck him in the head. Police say the victim suffered a small laceration on his head as well as a laceration to his finger, which required several stitches. He was transported to Whidden Hospital for treatment. Police say a clerk’s hearing will be sought at Chelsea District Court regarding the assault.No arrests were made.
