SALEM – A Peabody woman charged with participating in a home invasion where gold jewelry and a laptop were stolen last month will have to come up with $5,000 cash in order to get out of Framingham Prison for Women pending her trial.Cheryl Messina, 46, of 2 Hingston St., pleaded innocent Wednesday morning in Salem Superior Court to breaking and entering in the daytime with intent to commit a felony and larceny from a building.Judge Timothy Q. Feeley agreed to establish the bail amount jointly recommended by the prosecutor and defense, leaving the door open for a bail review hearing at another court date.Assistant District Attorney Jean M. Curran stated the charges arise out of an incident in Peabody on Sept. 24.It was shortly after 2 p.m. when a concerned neighbor called police reporting suspicious persons putting gloves on their hands before entering his neighbor’s home at 111 Lynnfield St.He then saw two women flee from the home in a blue Hyundai Sonata.Patrolmen Al Graglia and Joseph Coup responded to the scene and arrested the suspects in the Lynnfield Street neighborhood. Police said they retrieved the stolen merchandise from the vehicle.
