SALEM – A Peabody man has been indicted for peddling heroin and gun sales to an undercover officer in Lynn by an Essex County grand jury.Jessie Butler, 20, of 242 Newbury St., Peabody, is charged with trafficking over 28 grams of heroin, two counts of carrying a firearm without a license and two counts of distribution of heroin.The charges arise out of a series of events in Lynn near the South Common Street neighborhood.Authorities claim Butler sold heroin to an undercover officer on Aug. 19.Then a week later, he allegedly sold another quantity of heroin and arranged to buy two firearms.Butler was arrested on Sept. 9 following an investigation by the Lynn Drug Task Force and State Police.
