LYNN – An alleged drunken Lynner assaulted his wife Wednesday night by biting her wrists and slamming her into walls inside their apartment building.Lamar Hakim Hunt, 29, of 145 Lewis St., was charged with two counts of domestic assault and battery and wanton destruction of property over $250. He was arraigned Thursday at Lynn District Court by Judge Stacey Fortes-White and was ordered held on $2,500 cash bail. A pre-trial hearing has been scheduled for Nov. 15.According to court documents, police responded to a call of a fight on Lewis Street around 11 p.m., where they found two women and a man yelling at each other inside the building’s corridor. A witness told police that Hunt was “very drunk” and banging on the hallway door leading into her apartment. She said she tried to tell him to go away, but once she opened the door, Hunt immediately pushed his way inside.Hunt then allegedly went after his 53-year-old wife and started biting her wrists, causing her to scream. The witness said Hunt then kicked the inner front door to the building, shattering a glass window on the door. Police say they found broken glass from the door on the floor and said Hunt appeared highly intoxicated and was bleeding from a small cut on his upper back.Hunt was taken into custody and treated for his wound, while the victim and witness were advised of their restraining order rights.
