SALEM – A former Lynn man found guilty of raping and molesting a 12-year-old boy in the summer of 2005 will serve 10 to 15 years in state prison before being placed on probation for another 10 years.Glenn P. Christie, 44, last known address of 46 Humphrey St., Swampscott, was found guilty earlier this week of four counts of rape, indecent assault and battery on a child under the age of 14 and dissemination of pornographic materials to a minor.The 12-person jury deliberated for about two and a half hours before reaching their decision late Monday afternoon.Judge David A. Lowy in Salem Superior Court commented on the bravery that the boy showed in coming forward and testifying at the trial.Assistant District Attorney Michael J. Sheehan successfully produced evidence that the victim, who was age 12 at the time, was unnaturally raped, molested and showed pornography during the summer of 2005 by Christie at his home then located at 12 Castle Rising Court, #202, at the King’s Lynne Complex in Lynn.
