He was released on personal recognizance under the conditions that he not abuse the victim or drink alcohol, submit to random screenings, undergo a mental health evaluation and report weekly to probation. A pre-trial hearing has been scheduled for Nov. 29.According to court documents, police received a frantic call from a woman saying her son had pushed his elderly grandmother to the ground, was on top of her and attempting to hit her. Upon arrival, police arrested Brady based on statements given by his mother and the victim, who said the heavy-set suspect is bi-polar and was extremely drunk at the time. The victim said the two were arguing with each other, when Brady allegedly chest-bumped her and threatened her by raising his fist as if he was going to hit her. At that point, Brady’s mother ran into the room and was able to pull him off of her. She said she saw Brady push her mother, causing her to fall, and as she fell, Brady was said to have stood over her in an attempt to hit her.The victim said she was scared, saying whenever Brady drinks alcohol, he blacks out and begins to act irrational and violent. Despite being told she could apply for a restraining order, the victim said she didn’t wish to get one against her grandson.Police say it took three officers to help Brady walk since he was so intoxicated and that a prisoner van had to be called to the scene to bring him back to the station because they couldn’t get him into a cruiser.
