LYNN – Police say a man was robbed and hit over the head with a bottle Sunday morning on Commercial Street.The unidentified victim told police he was drinking alcohol near the Robert McManus Field at 140 Commercial St., around 1 a.m., when he was approached by three suspects who demanded that he hand over his money. The victim said he gave an undisclosed amount to the suspects and was then hit over the head with what he believed was a bottle. Bleeding profusely, the victim was taken to Union Hospital for what police say were non-life threatening injuries.An accurate description of the suspects was not given to police because the victim said he could not see their faces during the attack.Anyone with information is asked to contact the department at 781-595-2000.
