REVERE – Police say an elderly woman was stabbed by her neighbor at a Revere Housing Authority property over the weekend.According to a report, police were alerted to the incident Monday morning, where an employee said a 77-year-old woman was assaulted by her 92-year-old neighbor with a knife at the 45 Dolphin Ave. complex.Upon arrival, police spoke with an employee of Revere-based CRW Elder Services, which provides basic services for elders living in the building. Since the incident happened, the victim told the employee that she is frightened to sit in her own apartment alone and has been spending time with a woman in another unit.She claimed that sometime between Nov. 27 and Nov. 28, she was stabbed by the unidentified suspect and suffered a 3-inch cut. A picture of her wound was snapped with a cellular phone.Police say they attempted to speak with both women, but neither wished to comment. Both were informed that a report would be written and submitted to the state and that the housing authority would be notified and that it may be in their best interest to live in separate apartment buildings.No charges have been filed against the suspect.
