SALEM – A Lynn man who authorities claim robbed about $100 from a neighbor at gunpoint three months ago remains held at the Middleton Jail without bail pending a dangerousness hearing. In Salem Superior Court Wednesday morning, Jerricee Wallace, 21, of 11 West Green St., #1, appeared for his arraignment, pleading not guilty to charges of armed robbery, home invasion, armed assault in a dwelling and carrying a firearm without a license before Judge Timothy Q. Feeley.Assistant District Attorney Greg A. Friedman immediately filed a petition to have a dangerousness hearing and asked that Wallace be held without bail pending trial because he posed a danger to the community. The judge set down Friday, Dec. 10 for the hearing. In the meantime, Wallace remains held without bail.Defense attorney Alice Jayne is expected to argue that there are conditions of release for her client to ensure the public?s safety pending trial. The charges arise out of an incident in Lynn on the morning of Sept. 28 when the suspect allegedly confronted a 25-year-old neighbor at gunpoint outside his West Green Street home where he stole about $100 from him.The victim said he was then forced back into his apartment by Wallace to get more cash. Once inside the second-floor West Green Street apartment, Wallace allegedly threatened the victim?s tenant before the occupants overpowered Wallace and held him at bay until police arrived.Authorities apparently recovered the handgun from the scene.Wallace faces a potential life sentence in state prison if convicted on the armed robbery charge and a mandatory punishment of 20 years in state prison on the home invasion charge against him.
