LYNN – Police say two women became lost in Lynn Woods Reservation Monday afternoon, followed by a Lynnfield Police officer who attempted to find them.Lynn Police Lt. Dave Brown said the unidentified women, ages 33 and 49 years old from Salem and Peabody, reported being lost at approximately 3:52 p.m.”They had entered into Lynn Woods by Great Woods Road, along with their dogs,” he said. “They contacted police via a cell phone and a response was coordinated.”The women were later located near Ox Pasture Road around 5 p.m. and taken to safety, but around 6 p.m., Brown said the department learned that a Lynnfield officer who was assisting also got turned around in the 2,200 acres of woods.”He too was located off of a trail near Ox Pasture Road,” he said. “It is very easy to lose your way in the woods, especially in the dark.”Massachusetts State Police and the Air Wing assisted in the search, along with the use of a thermal imaging machine.
