CHELSEA – A Revere father of four was hit by a car and left for dead on the cold pavement of a Chelsea street Tuesday night.Police say the victim, Julio Vaquerano, 36, was struck at approximately 10:09 p.m., near the intersection of Blossom and Maple streets. A 911 call led police to Vaquerano, who was suffering from major trauma, including a head injury.He was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel Conley’s office.Police continue to search for the driver of the vehicle, of which a description has not been released, and are appealing to the public for any information on the case. State and Chelsea Police returned to the scene Wednesday afternoon, where police tape fluttered in the cold wind as they interviewed neighbors to see if they heard or saw anything.An argument was allegedly heard in the street before the crash, followed by the sound of squealing tires. So far, police have not said why Vaquerano was in Chelsea, nor the circumstances leading up the hit and run accident.At Vaquerano’s North Shore Road home, distraught relatives and friends declined to comment, saying they were mourning his death. A native of El Savador, Vaquerano is said to have come to the United States as a child with the intention of living a better life.His death marks the second hit and run in a week. Cynthia Anne Ray, 30, an employee of Lynn-based Lucia Lighting and Design, was killed Sunday at a State Police barracks in Andover. The driver who hit her, Robert V.
