SALEM – Two Lynn men who police say sold a shotgun to a cooperating individual for $250 last winter have pleaded innocent.Miguel Cabrera, 19, of 76 Park St. and Hector L. Velazquez, Jr., 24, of 69 Park St., both of Lynn, pleaded innocent Thursday in Salem Superior Court to charges of carrying a firearm without a license and trying to sell an unlicensed firearm.Judge Timothy Q. Feeley set bail at $10,000 for Cabrera; Velazquez remains free on $5,000.Cabrera remains held in lieu of bail at the Middleton Jail.Assistant District Attorney Christina Pujals Ronan argued unsuccessfully that the two suspects’ bail should be increased each to $25,000, citing their past criminal records and the facts of the case.An arrangement was made by Cabrera with an individual to buy a shotgun. On March 9 at around 1 p.m. Cabrera apparently took the individual to Park Street to meet Velazquez, where the shotgun was negotiated for $250.The incident was under surveillance by police.Their next scheduled court date is Jan. 31 for a pretrial conference.
