REVERE – Police are asking for the public?s help in locating a missing Revere man who is suffering from dementia.Andrew Hinterleitner, 37, has been missing since Thursday evening, according to his mother, Marlene Singer.Having suffered an aneurysm four months ago, Singer said her son recently underwent surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital, followed by treatment at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital before he returned home 10 days ago.?He has a hard time getting sentences out and he?s been staying with me,” she said. “I went to bed early on Thursday, so I didn?t even hear him leave, but he must have just come out of his room and went out. I haven?t slept since and I?m about to collapse.”On Friday, Singer filed a missing person report with the Revere Police. Hinterleitner is described as 5-feet, 2-inches tall, 159 pounds with brown hair, green eyes, is unshaven and has a scar on his forehead.He was last seen wearing rimless eyeglasses, blue shorts, a green T-shirt and white sneakers. Police advise that he may be confused and could have shaky limbs.?He doesn?t know any better right now, and he doesn?t even know that it?s winter,” Singer said. “I?ve been all over the place looking for him in Lynn, Revere, Malden and Everett and I have no idea where he could have gone.”Revere Police Captain Michael Murphy said Hinterleitner doesn?t have a cellular phone on him and said none of his credit cards have had any recent activity.?We have exhausted many traditional attempts to locate him,” he said. “However, he is in the system now in case he has any contact with the police, medical facilities, ambulances or hospitals.”Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 781-284-1212.
