LYNNFIELD – The FBI Violent Crimes Task Force is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in three bank robberies, including one in Lynnfield on Dec. 15.The latest robbery is said to have happened in Malden on Dec. 16 at Citizens Bank, located at 876 Main St., where the suspect fired a gun in the bank as he was leaving. Investigators say the suspect is considered to be armed and dangerous.Bank surveillance images depict the suspect as a black male in his early 20s, who is approximately 5-feet, 4-inches to 5-feet, 6-inches tall with a medium build. At the time of the Malden robbery, the suspect was wearing a Boston Red Sox baseball hat.Investigators say the robber is also suspected in the Lynnfield robbery, which took place at The Savings Bank, located at 1105 Summer St. Later that same day, the suspect may have also robbed a TD Bank, located in Reading at 470 Main St. During each of the robberies, the suspect is said to have harmed bank employees.As a result, the FBI is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the charging and arrest of the suspect. In addition, the Massachusetts Bankers Association Tip Program is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for details.Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force at 617-742-5533.
