An alleged Lynn drug dealer was arrested Tuesday afternoon following a lengthy investigation.Julio Javier Lopez, 24, of 55 Collins St., #3, was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license, distribution of a class A substance, trafficking over 28 grams of a class A substance and two counts of a school zone violation. He was arraigned Wednesday at Lynn District Court by Judge Joseph Jennings and ordered held in lieu of $500 cash bail. A probable cause hearing has been scheduled for Feb. 3.According to court documents, Lynn Police met with investigators from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) in November, regarding the sale of heroin, Oxycontin and Percocet.One of the ATF investigators decided to stage a meeting with Lopez on Dec. 1 to purchase 60 80mg Oxycontin tablets for $2,700. At approximately 6 p.m., Lopez allegedly drove a green Dodge Caravan to Rhodes Avenue, just shy of New Park Street, where he met with an undercover investigator. During their one minute conversation of small talk, Lopez is said to have handed over the 60 Oxycontin pills and he was given $2,700 in cash. After chatting about future purchases, the two parted ways.Then on Dec. 21, investigators arranged for another meeting with Lopez, this time to purchase three grams of heroin worth $325. Lopez was instructed to meet in the area of North Shore Community College. Investigators then handed Lopez the money and they were given a package containing numerous twists of heroin. As Lopez drove away, nearby officers were told to follow Lopez as he drove his Caravan onto Joyce Street and later pulled him over near the Fecteau Leary School.He was taken into custody for narcotics distribution. During a search, police found a black Motorola cellular phone in Lopez’s possession, which had a phone number matching the one in which investigators called to set up the drug sales.
