REVERE – A man who police say was reported missing on Dec. 17 has been found dead behind his home on Revere Beach Parkway.Andrew Hinterleitner, 37, was found laying behind a dumpster in a pile of leaves and snow on Christmas Eve, wearing only a t-shirt, shorts and sneakers. Hinterleitner had been suffering from dementia following an aneurysm four months ago, which recently required surgery in Boston. His mother, Marlene Singer, previously said her son had returned home earlier this month to recover following the surgical procedure and extensive treatment at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.Police believe Hinterleitner, who is 5-feet, 2-inches tall, was in the process of taking out the trash on Dec. 16, when he became disoriented outside in the bitter cold. When Singer woke up the next morning and noticed her son missing, she reported the incident to police, who then searched the area.Family and friends cased the surrounding area of their home, including Lynn and Everett. More than 50 flyers were posted with the hope Hinterleitner would return home.Police say Hinterleitner’s body was removed by the state Medical Examiner.
