SALEM – A Swampscott man charged with bilking thousands of dollars from various North Shore residents in an apparent insurance scam has been indicted by an Essex County grand jury.Robert Giller, 52, of 11 Laurel Road, Swampscott, stands charged with 20 counts of insurance fraud, 18 counts of larceny over $250 and two counts of attempted larceny.The charges arise out of allegations that occurred in Peabody dating from January 2006 through December 2009.The 40 indictments were handed up Wednesday afternoon in Salem Superior Court.
