LYNN – A small fire erupted on a porch at a home on Joel Circle Sunday afternoon.Lynn Fire Department arson investigator Donald Baron said the blaze was determined to have been smoking related, but did not appear to be suspicious.?Nobody admitted to anything, but there is one smoker in the house who denied having been out there since midnight,” he said.Despite the claim, Baron said the porch caught fire shortly after 4 p.m. at the 9 Joel Circle home and it was ultimately destroyed.?It?s a nice neighborhood and there doesn?t seem to be any issues going on,” he said. “The fire could have potentially been worse since there was a lot of stuff stored below the porch, but nothing significant happened.”No injuries were reported.
