REVERE – A Revere school official has been placed on leave by the School Department for his alleged involvement in a drunken tirade after losing his parking spot.Michael Ciarlone, 53, is scheduled to be arraigned Feb. 16 in Chelsea District Court on two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.According to published reports, a witness told police that Ciarlone, the director of facilities for the Revere School Department, shouted, “You parked in my spot, you immigrants” and proceeded to use his Ford pickup to push snow and ice onto the alleged victim?s driveway, blocking in their car.Ciarlone also allegedly exchanged words with several people at the scene and even ran one man over with his truck before he kicked him in the head and punched the victim?s brother when he tried to break it up.Police say they found Ciarlone, who was being restrained by the victim?s brother when they arrived, to have a pungent odor of alcohol on his breath, along with slurred speech and glassy eyes.Ciarlone was unavailable for comment when a call was placed to his home on Sunday. His attorney, Gerry D?Ambrosio was also unavailable, however he previously said his client was found to not have been drunk when he was examined at Whidden Hospital.
