LYNN – The case of a Lynn man accused of robbing and beating an elderly grandmother last week has been continued to Thursday.Michael Leroy Collins, 56, of 50 Andrew St., pleaded innocent to the charges of armed robbery, armed burglary and assault and battery on a person over 60 in Lynn District Court. He remains held without bail until the court dangerousness hearing.The victim, 94-year-old Lilllian Sutson, was robbed in her own home on South Common Street after Collins barged in through her front door, demanding cash. The elderly woman fought back in fear, stabbing Collins in his thigh with a pen she had been using while working on a crossword puzzle.Police reports indicated Collins stole $400 and Regina Sutson said the money was not recovered.
