LYNN – Police say an Essex man who allegedly robbed Norm?s Variety on Eastern Avenue Saturday afternoon while wearing a pair of goggles has been arrested.Derek R. Koloski, 39, of 88 Eastern Ave., #2, has been charged with armed and masked robbery and is expected to be arraigned today at Lynn District Court.Around 1:30 p.m., officers responded to the store, located at 423 Eastern Ave., on a report that the clerk had been robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect, Koloski, allegedly told the clerk that he had a firearm as he grabbed the cash from the register and dashed out of the store.Described as having worn a green jacket, hat and goggles at the time of the incident, police located Kosloski a few minutes later on Harvest Street, where he was arrested.?This was a nice combined effort on the part of the patrol officers and detectives,” said Lynn Police Lt. Dave Brown.
