LYNN – Details surrounding the Saturday night shooting of a Lynn man in the area of Howard and Landers streets remain unknown.The victim, Kevin Cuqua, 38, mistakenly identified on Sunday through incorrect information provided to The Daily Item, remains in critical condition at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.The extent of Cuqua’s injury or the location of his wound were not released due to an ongoing investigation, according to Steve O’Connell, spokesman for Essex County District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett.The incident happened around 7 p.m., where police found Cuqua’s gray pickup truck run into a snowbank. O’Connell said he was unable to divulge any information about the victim, only saying he was from Arlington and currently living with his fiancée.The State Police Essex County Detective Unit, State Police Crime Scene Services Section and the State Police Ballistics Section assisted Lynn police at the scene.Anyone with information is urged to call Lynn police at 781-595-2000.
