LYNN – A Lynn woman has been ordered to spend some time behind bars for allegedly stabbing a man multiple times in her bedroom on Friday.Lauren Michele Maggs, 41, of 11 Meadow Court, #4, was charged with assault to murder and arraigned Monday at Lynn District Court by Judge Albert Conlon. She was ordered held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing scheduled for Feb. 10.According to court records, Lynn police responded to a report of a stabbing on Meadow Court around 7 p.m. Upon arrival, the 48-year-old victim was found on the living room floor of the apartment, profusely bleeding from stab wounds to his lower abdomen and the right side of his chest.Police say Maggs was kneeling next to the victim, while a witness was standing nearby. As an Advanced Life Support Ambulance arrived and began treating the victim, police pulled Maggs aside to see what happened.She said she had drank two Hard Mike’s Lemonade beverages and got into an argument with the victim in a bedroom next to the living room. She claimed the victim punched her in the side of her head and threatened her with a knife, so she grabbed the knife away from him. When asked how the victim was stabbed multiple times, she wouldn’t elaborate, only saying he “fell against the knife.”Before the victim was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital, he admitted to police that he hit Maggs, but denied threatening her with a knife.During Maggs’ booking, she complained of head and back pain and was later taken to a hospital for an evaluation. She was later found to have an outstanding warrant for giving a false name to police out of Malden District Court.
