SALEM – The trial of Fernando Aristy, the man charged in the beating death of a Peabody father of two that began over a parking space in Lynn, has been scheduled for June.Defense lawyer Raymond D. Buso told Judge David A. Lowy in Salem Superior Court Monday that the case is moving along and that he and Assistant District Attorney Maureen Wilson-Leal already have a trial date of June 13, but are still waiting on some DNA forensic reports.Buso also noted that prosecutors gave him several items, including a witness list, a list of experts they intend to call and all documents related to the case.Aristy, 34, of 59 Burma Road, Chelsea, stands charged with first-degree murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury and assault and battery resulting in serious bodily injury in connection with the death of Chad R. McDonald, Sr., allegations he has denied.McDonald, 34, of 4 Cashman Road, Peabody, was beaten to death during a confrontation in the early morning hours of Oct. 9 in front of a warehouse, Jim Appleyard Bonded Storage, located at 37 Bennett St. in Lynn.McDonald got into a confrontation again that night with Aristy about parking his vehicle in front of the driveway to the storage facility, blocking access. The two had exchanged words in the past concerning the issue.Aristy was next door at an auto body shop with a group of men playing dominoes and drinking beer.McDonald and Aristy started to have words, which escalated into McDonald grabbing a screwdriver as he and Aristy went down on the ground during a fist fight that last roughly two minutes. At one point Aristy had apparently grabbed a piece of wood and was beating McDonald on the face and head with it, according to reports.
