SALEM – A former Marblehead father charged with stuffing a baby wipe into the mouth of his 7-week-old son and dropping him to the floor because he would not stop crying remains held at the Middleton Jail without bail until next month when a dangerous hearing is scheduled.Dario Finkel, 26, who had been living at 1000 Loring Ave., Unit B105, Salem, formerly of Elm Street, Marblehead, appeared Friday morning for his arraignment in Salem Superior Court and pleaded innocent to two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a child, two counts of assault and battery and a single count of child endangerment before Judge Howard J. Whitehead.Assistant District Attorney Kate B. MacDougall asked that Finkel remain held without bail until a dangerousness hearing can be heard because Finkel is a danger to his child.Whitehead scheduled a hearing for July 6 at which time defense lawyer Rebecca Whitehill is expected to argue that there are conditions of release to ensure the safety of the child.
