LYNN – Lynn’s Annual Fall Fest on the Waterfront be held from noon-7 p.m. Sept. 17 at Heritage State Park, featuring live music, great food and creative vendors.This year’s Music Stage features Kristina Musto, Revolver, Brown Chicken Brown Cow, Gumbo Diablo and Fame or Juliet. Also performing will be the Odyssey Stars from Girls, Inc., and Lottie the drug sniffing dog.The Daily Item will hold its annual Dog Parade from noon to 1 p.m. Last year over 300 pooches competed for titles ranging from Cutest Dog to Dog That Most Resembles Its OwnerMore than 30 arts and crafts vendors will be on hand offering an array of jewelry, fine art, photography, fabric crafts and more. You can satisfy your festival food cravings with hot dogs, fried dough, Caribbean cuisine, pizza, french fries, ice cream and slush. The festival will also feature children’s activities including kite making, spin art, and the popular moon bounce. This year the festival will end with a screening of Despicable Me at 7 p.m. courtesy of the Lynn Office of Economic and Community Development.This year’s Festival is a part of the Essex National Heritage Area’s Trails and Sails event. Now celebrating 10 years, Trails and Sails will offer a passport to over 100 free, fun and family friendly events, all designed to give residents and visitors a taste of the region’s distinctive history, breathtaking landscape and hidden gems.Visitors to this year’s Trails and Sails can plot their events on-line at www.trailsandsails.org.
