Mother Nature was the big winner on the high school sports scene Thursday as heavy rains forced much of the area slate to be wiped out.In field hockey, the Beverly at Marblehead; Everett at Danvers and Peabody at Swampscott games will all be played today at 3:45. Gloucester and Salem will make up their game on Oct. 19 at 6 p.m.On the links, Peabody and Danvers were rained out and will now play on Sept. 19 at Ferncroft CC. Salem-Marblehead; St. Mary’s-Austin Prep and Swampscott-Winthrop also were rained out with no makeups available.The Danvers-Lynnfield boys soccer game was postponed until Saturday at 9 a.m.
